your captain has to go to camp =(

it is a week long field trip course that will finish off my science major. for pauling - i'm going to higgens lake.
i will be leaving tomarrow the 15th and will be coming back next saturday the 22nd.

while i'm gone, the senior officers are in charge.

later today i will be putting up a week's worth of forum games. elaria - try not to solve them all at once =P

they have internet here =) 2 whole computers XD
it's really beautiful up here. the lake is very pretty and we can go canoeing when ever we want (when we're not in class... >.<) classes last most of the day and we get beaks around lunch and dinner time. last night we hung out with a hunter's safety group at a bonfire and drank XD
the cabins we stay in have several rooms and you have 2 people to a room. i'm lucky cause my room mate thinks like i do: get to the bathroom for showers and tooth brushing before everyone else does. lol.

breaks - i'm tired, my hip hurts and my feet are killing me. the class sucks though. very boring. our guest speakers are sometimes knowledgeable and sometimes not so. we have a guy in the class that kept on correcting the bird guy. at least that was kinda funny. we are supposed to go canoing, but it's raining so we may not go which is kinda disapointing.

i'm back. the canoe trip went well. we canoed the au sable river. very nice. my back is killing me. upon coming home, i went for a nap IN MY OWN BED!!!! ahhhhh that felt nice, but my back and hip are still bothering me from that horrible bed.
for the first three nights we were there, there were also some guys from a hunter's saftey group. they were alot of fun at night as we all sat around a bonfire.
the funny part was there were 2 cabins and each had a number of rooms with 2 beds each. 1 cabin (the one i was in) was the "party cabin" most of us went down to the fire and drank with the hunter's saftey group. the other cabin was the "study cabin" except for about 4 girls. the study cabin never came down to the fire.
it only rained 1 day and it was off and on. most of the time you couldn't even feel rain drops because the canopy of the trees was so thick.
