Here's the problem as I see it.
I'm very afraid that The Lost Lot will soon be lost for good, at least as any kind of a crew with impact on the ocean. We are currently living off our past reputation. Inanna (was it?) was very generous in her comments about us being the best crew on Sage, but her information is not current.
We are now a crew of busy people (in RL) who have a good amount of talent in the puzzles of YPP, but not enough time to build up the crew. I am hoping that during the summer some of us might have a little more free time to run pillies. Actually, I think the new, more up-to-date way to attract new members is to run an SMH where you get out before you get too greedy (as in, leave before you get too close to sinking; no one joins the crew of a sunken ship.)
Captain Spacehog has a post elsewhere on the forums asking what kinds of things we think the crew should be doing, especially since we have a decent amount of poe and still a decent reputation. The response was dismal.
Come on, Lost Lotters!!!
Are you waiting for us to fade away? Give opinions! Commit to a pilly or an SMH! Plan an event that will get us back on the map (Bobo!). Commit to helping Bobo with an event!
Spaptain, if you want to fold this into your previous post, and try to resurrect the discussion, that's fine with me. _________________ Personality opens doors; character keeps them open. |

| OK... I'll go for my final test for FO since I've already passed the written, then start doing pillys in the summer. How does that sound? (Tryin' to do my part anyway.) |

That does sound perfect Sienna....we will try and arrange something for you (though as I haven't seen you in a while [stupid timezones!!] maybe we can bribe Bud to be willing to test you?).
As for what Whoosy posted, she and I had talked a little while ago, and so I agree 100% with what she posted. I know I personally haven't helped the quietness any, I've rotated into a different section and I'm incredibly tired on a night right now.
But I've been working on the weavery and really made it generate a nice profit on the whole, but at the same time I have sacrificed other areas of the game (my own ability to make money at times) in the effort to make the weavery profitable in the first place. This is not a complaint, but if I have say 2-3 hours on a night (at most) and 90% of that is taken up with the shop, it leaves little for pillages. But if I ignore the shop, it will then dry up as it did previously.
If people don't want us to have a dead forum...or indeed a dead crew, what do we need to change to make this happen? _________________ I have CDO....that's Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but alphabetically.....like it should be! |

I think to improve we need more of our members who are online often to step up more and make an effort to get the crew to where we want it to be again.
As far as the shop goes maybe we have members in the flag who can be online a few of the days that your online doing shop work and they are interested in learning how to help run it even if its just a few things here and there. I for one know im a bit low in the crew and prlly not very well trusted as of now but I'd like to think one day maybe I will learn how to run a shop since all of mine on Virid seem to fail miserably. ( I've owned 2 IM's and an Apoth)
And as for getting more mates to pillage Im very very very slowly working up my stats and getting online more often so maybe in due time i'll be able to help out wiht pillages because I love to bnav. Its my passion in PP next to getting Ulti Bilge. XD
Thats basically my two cents on the issue. Maybe someone else has more to add........ |

I have been having some computer issues.
(I built a new one to replace my dying one. The new computers brand new power supply (850w) went up in smoke about 2 days later. I’m fighting them on the warrantee issue (I can’t find my receipt, even though the build date is clearly is on my side). Meanwhile my old computer finally gave up. I can get into the game but only at a 640x480 screen, which is interesting on my 21” monitor.)
Also, my work schedule changed from five 8 hour days to four 10 hour days (with Saturday through Monday off). My evening time has dwindled somewhat – but if I know about something – I will make it a point to do something.
