Yesterday there was a client update, and included in that was the beta testing of Puzzle Pirates Adventures!!!!!
This is a new way of getting people involved in YPP and as it's all browser based, just point your browser at the following link:
http://sage.puzzlepirates.com/yoweb/adventures.wm
It's very basic and still needs the bugs working out of it, but as they get them sorted they'll include some more complicated Adventures for us old timers!!! _________________ I have CDO....that's Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but alphabetically.....like it should be! |

i gave it a try. it's alot of fun.
some warnings - wear nice clothes when you do the adventures, and a sword and a bludgeon are nice, but i was able to complete them with fists and a stick.
for now there are only 3 adventures, but i can't wait until they come out with more.
you can also do the adventures straight from YPP. you do not have to go to the site to do them, though others felt that while on YPP the adventures took a long time to load. i went to the site and had some waiting but nothing extreme.
you can also play the adventures with friends. the second adventure will allow more crewmate interaction then the other 2, but it would be nice for some help on the third one. (a lot of bilge.... >.<) _________________ Duct tape is like the Force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together.

I am still waiting for the thing to load, but I doubt my internet will handle it >.< It's baaad, I really wanted to test it all!
OK, it closed the network connection (AGAIN!)
/me is going to try once more and then go back to "normal" YPP |

When playing through the web interface, I didn't have a chat box. I could only type to crew mates and such while in a puzzle, typically fighting. Is there a setting I'm missing that somebody else may have found? _________________ Officer, Card Sharp, and Flag Liason of The Lost Lot. |

I had the same problem - I could only chat at certain parts of the "adventure", though I could do /fo as well as /cr when I could chat at all.
I don't believe I could respond to /tells at all. I was trying to respond to a invitation from Ziddan, who is not in crew or flag, if that makes a difference. _________________ Personality opens doors; character keeps them open. |
