Why did you join the Lost Lot?

I joined for a number of reasons. Up to a few months ago I was captaining Halcyon which was a pretty active crew famewise and with a decent size of around 75 people, lots of skilled pirates too that had grown a lot in game knowledge and blockade savvy under the tutelage of a bunch of ex-Midnighters in the flag Les Aristocrates.

I became captain there when Brombie left on vacation, it was supposed to be for 3 weeks but turned into 6 months when he decided to semi-retire after his vacation. I was really close to Brombie, having co-founded Outcasts with him previously and joined his crew as SO when I got fed up with Wingedhussar.

Well after Brombie left, others followed, Solid & Maquereau... many were disenchanted with the game after the eyesinkjoo incident. 6 months of captaincy was burning me out too, we ran foraging operations, extensive officer training programs and participated in blockades frequently... it was too much for me so I turned it over to Bochie. After a few weeks of that I found I had a hard time getting away from the responsibility and people were constantly turning to me for guidance still, so that and the fact that many of the people I was close to had already left, made me decide to leave too.

I joined up with Tortie's new crew, Watery Tarts, mainly because I knew a lot of the ACP'ers there and didn't feel like joining up with the ones that had gone to PA. It was fun there, a mostly adult crew with a lot in common with me, but so small and with no blockade ambition, I would often log in and be the only person online, so that's kinda boring.

I realized I wanted to find another crew, I had a short list already, I pretty much know who's who on Sage, what they are like and capable of already and TLL was on the top of my list anyway - skill was obvious, intelligence too from forum posts, I'd pillaged with you previously and seen you blockade and knew you guys knew what you were doing. A quick post on the forums and I got 2 recruitment offers form TLL. That pretty much made up my mind, so I found a pillage hopped on, and asked to join up afterwards.

I think it was the best decision I've ever made in game. I'm enjoying every minute with you guys.

Is this my first post??

Well, it was a rainy night, about six months ago... I was staring at my monitor with a bored gaze, when suddenly I noticed that I was playing some sort of a morpg game... Wait a moment - i said to myself - Its quite fun! And a moment later I landed on a ship which name i did not know, with captain I did not know either or even i didn't know that function existed... And then guess what happened? It appeared that I was quite a good sailor! And the crew on that ship seemed to be quit reasonable (or so I thought after reading the crew chat...) (No, really, You are great, all of you!). And then Jezzibel, yes, I remember quite well, started to help me with my clumsy attempts to get around PP. And not long after that i was asked to joun this tremendous crew! Thank you Jezz and all for help! It is a great fun to sail among such great pirates;)

I remember that VERY well Arid!!! It was our nightmare WB pilly, where 12 people left when we lost 1 battle (-grrr Elitists! Evil or Very Mad

), no new jobbers applied and we ended up with 5 people (including me and Space) to make it the last 2 LP's to get back to port... but hey we got a lovely new crewmate out of it, so it had to have been worth it!!! Very Happy

Well done on the promotion to pirate Arid, you deserve it!

We'll it was quite simple - Arid told me about YPP few days after she foud it and I joined the same crew as she did just because she said people there were great.
They still are and I believe I'll never go to any other crew, no matter what happens!
And it's sad Arid's RL made her resing from the game and even deleted her pirate... twice.
