PTB, or "permission to board" is a crucial element in our piratey policy. Due to limited space, for any sloop or cutter, we would like to ask that all crew members, even officers, ask ptb <<shipname>> and wait for approval before boarding that ship. Even if you log in and you see the option to board a ship, you have access to the chat, so ask ptb.

There are many reasons why we want people to ask ptb:
1. Sometimes we want to have a ship understaffed for easier fights
2. Sometimes we are waiting on a particular person to board
3. Sometimes we aren't fighting (meetings, memming, cargo run, training, etc)

Myself, I like to mem. Anytime you see a sloop out with only one or two pirates on board, you can bet that they are memming with bots. Those bots are vital because they provide steady work that I know how to manipulate well. Also, they use less rum than pirates or officers. People who come on my ship and require me to talk to them, not only knocks off a bot and slows its duty, but kills my speed, prevents me from doing my duty, and lowers my rating.

From now on, I will be practicing an automatic planking policy whenever I'm memming. Afterwhich, I'll send a tell to explain to you why I planked you. If you are planked, please send a tell first asking why before trying to board again. ptb is a very serious policy and can mean the difference between a successful cargo run or a loss of 50k in profits.

Questions, comments, concerns may be posted below and will be addressed accordingly

Note: Permission is not needed to board the large ships (war brigs and war frigates.)

Is there a way to find a list of ships crewed by Lost Lot folks in the Yohoho client? If yes, how/where?

If no... could we get a listing posted here?

Thanks.

When you go to the dock in-game, there is a button at the very bottom of the dock window, towards the middle-left side of your screen that says, "Where are my vessels?"

That will show all TLL ships and where they are currently ported.

Just thought I'd bump this thread since Scarymuffin has now enforced PTB ruling on all classes of ships.

FYI : To ask for PTB, just use crew chat and type in "ptb <name of ship>" and wait for a reply, something like aye or granted or hop on.
