I’m going to start a competition for ALL crew mates.
The TLL’er who wins, gets a Sloop (painted to winners choice of colors - using reasonable cost paint).
If you get the exact number (first), also get 5,000 Poe.
To participate, you need to put an entry on this post, on the current number of Ships that I own (on my main and any of my alts.) At 11:59 p.m. (game time) December 31, 2007.
Everyone is allowed two guesses.
The answer must be entered as a post to this thread.
Questions must also be a post in this thread (I may be willing to answer a “couple” questions).
I will take the person with closest guess, after the new year to be the winner.
If there is a tie (on closest or exact number) then the time of the post will determine the winner.
The only exception is for Spacehog (and Jezzibel), Faeree and for Mamamia, who has “some” inside information on the matter.
These mates can participate but they have to be within 1 (one) ship, or exact, to win.
These are for ships currently on the ocean (not ones sunk, which is numbering 107 currently), and not for those being built currently (so all ships must have a name).
I will say that I have my name (Bullseyebud) on every ship that I own.
I will also say that some of my ships that I have sold, still have my name on it (new owner did not modify the OBB).
Also, I have ships in Good Grief’s war crew as well as 6 (six) other flags (they are loaned out).
Hint number 1.
I own 5 Grand Frigs (as of December 22, 2007).
Hint number 2
I do not own any Merchant Galleons (as of December 22, 2007).
(but either number could change before new years day). |

Hmm I would like to guess, but don't want to give folks a good starting point? But if I am allowed to guess, I will guess *** and if I win then the sloop will be given to the next person promoted to any officer position that doesn't have a ship?
 Just say when I can insert my *** with my guesstimate!

So if I understand this right...I am allowed to guess, but as I have some inside knowledge (and a poor memory, which makes the inside knowledge bit redundant!!!), I have to be within 1 of the final answer.
But this number will be increasing as you make more ships before the end of the year so I have to actually be 1 away from that final answer?!?!?
And I thought my Masters degree was hard.......

Sorry Space, but you do have seen some inside information and I was trying to make it far for the rest of our mates.
Not everyone has a ship to their own, yet, which is why I wanted everyone a chance.
I’ll tell you what, I’ll remove the one ship limit from you and Jezz.
Faeree and Mamamia have seen some ship listed I Emailed both within the last few days (still does not have exact numbers on it, though), so my thinking was to have something the crew could have fun with.

I don’t think I have told you, Whoosy, because I have not counted them myself (except for the ones sunk).
So if I did mention one day, it was the number of sunk.
Also, I do buy, sell and deliver ships all of the time, and not to pick on anyone.
I will do an exact count on January 1, 2008 for I would be guessing myself right now.
Pauling, the ship numbers you have seen were those in CCC’s war crew and not those in other flags or within TLL, so I would go ahead and guess.
If you win, you can give it away yourself.
You don’t have much to lose, so why not? |
